Introduction
Hello to all Brothers, Sisters, and others - Happy New Year to all!!!.   We are expanding the Masonic Education section... we have 9 new files in this newsletter alone.  The Masonic Education section of the 4Masonry.com site will also undergo some cosmetic changes... but the page will not go down.

A Brother e-mailed us because he wanted a free MasonicCD for his lodge.  We are unable (due to cost) to provide an entire lodge or just the officers with free CDs.  We will, however, provide the MasonicCD at a reduced cost to lodges on a case by case basis.  Please visit http://www.MasonicCD.com for more information.

Please, remember to "tell a friend" if you appreciate the Ornan newsletter.

What's new?

We have a new Masonic community.  This is a place that you can post a message and come back later to read the responses by other Master Masons.  To keep the "frustration" down, we have decided not to force people to remember a password, so you can log on as a guest.  There is also a chat-room on the site that can be used for "Masonic meetings" or a place of general discussion.  Please visit at:  http://www.4masonry.com/chatroom/chat.htm

What's hot?

LostWord was created to offer used Masonic and non-Masonic books as well as a full line of Masonic and other fraternal supplies ("LostWord" is the website name for the sale of products by Michael Poll Services). In addition, LostWord is the sales point for all books by Michael Poll Publishing. LostWord is a service based community dedicated to presenting not only fine quality merchandise, but also many other services (gift ideas, educational tools and more) all designed to make your visit a most rewarding one.  Check out the NEW "Macoy's on LostWord"  shopping pages!

Masonic Education!
Masonry has been described as a "system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols."  Why is it so veiled?

A definition is limited and confining.  Allegories and symbols are infinite in their application and each mason is therefore enabled to read into such allegories and symbols his won individual interpretation, each to the limit of his capacity.  Thus, men of many minds can read into the words of the ceremony their own concept of the underlying truth, to find, perhaps, that particular lesson then needed most.  As KNOWLEDGE increases, one gains a still wider vision and meaning.
